Emergency crews have responded to an ammonia leak at Schneider’s Dairy on Frank Street in Whitehall.

Allegheny County 911 dispatchers say multiple patients have been contaminated, but are not sure how many.

Hazmat units are at Schneider’s Dairy to contain and clean up the leak.

Whitehall police and fire departments and four ambulances can be seen near the dairy. Pennsylvania American Water crews are also on Frank Street.

Police are keeping Patch, newspaper and TV reporters away from the leak as a precaution.
