Crews were alerted to a working structure fire at 7:05am this morning in Elizabeth Borough on Water Street near Park Alley under the Elizabeth Bridge.
Initial crews were met with heavy fire conditions and it was determined that the building was vacant.
Due to some water issues, Tankers from Lincoln Boro VFRC, Valley Inn VFD, and Washington Twp VFD were requested to scene to assist.
Crews fought the fire in a defensive nature due to the condition of the structure and lack of water pressure from the hydrants.
No injuries were reported.
Elizabeth Borough VFC was assisted on scene by units from Clairton, Blaine Hill, Glassport, Lincoln, Central, Valley Inn, and Washington Twp. The Salvation Army was also on scene providing food and drinks to the firefighters.
Allegheny County Fire Marshal office is investigating the cause.
